  • The main scientific work is focused on molecular immunology. There are fundamental researches on studying the role of molecular mechanisms in the development of ophthalmic pathology. Leader of this work is N. Pasyechnikova, a corr. member of NAMS of Ukraine, DMedSc, professor, Director of the Filatov Institute, Honored Doctor of Ukraine.
  • Specialists of the laboratory have developed a method of working with living cells, which allows to study effects of various immunomodulating medicine on the functional activity of immunocompetent cells, as well as various radiation, nanoparticles, etc. [Patent of Ukraine № 103483, IPC G01N 33/50, A61R 37/00, A61K 31/00; Decision to issue a declaration patent for utility model № 22115/ ZU15, IPC A61K 33/00, A61R 37/00, G01N 33/50].
  • Biotest of various nanoparticles, study of effects on functional activity of immunocompetent cells.
  • Specialists of the laboratory test artificial tissues obtained using 3D print, study safety and effects on living cells of the body.
  • Studies are carried out concerning effects of various radiation on the functional activity of immunocompetent cells.
  • Experimental animal studies are carried out.
  • Experimental studies with cell cultures are carried out.
  • Histoimmunocytochemical identification of major subpopulations of lymphocytes.
  • Identification of early and late activation markers of immune cells and other molecular markers.
  • Identification of the main parameters of T-cell immunity, humoral immunity and natural resistance.
  • Determining the level of sensitization to eye antigens.
  • Developing immunotherapy schemes and immunomodulatory strategy.
  • Identifying molecular markers of biological processes, cancer-specific markers and cytokines.
