STATE INSTITUTION "FILATOV INSTITUTE OF EYE DISEASES AND TISSUE THERAPY OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES OF UKRAINE"

announces admission to

POSTGRADUATE STUDIES

for the preparation of Doctors of Philosophy (PhD)

at the third (educational and scientific) level

in the specialty - І2- Medicine

Study period: 2025–2029

Applicants must successfully pass the Unified Entrance Exam (UEE), which consists of a foreign language test of the applicant’s choice (English, German, French, or Spanish), and the Test of General Academic Competence (TGAC).

In 2025, an additional mandatory Unified Professional Exam (UPE) in Research Methodology is also required for admission to postgraduate studies.

Both the UEE and UPE are conducted using the organizational and technological framework of the External Independent Evaluation system. Their results will be valid for admission to all institutions of higher education in Ukraine.

To take the UEE and UPEE, it is necessary to register from May 2 to May 23 (until 18:00) at any higher education institution that carries out registration for the corresponding entrance examinations, and from June 21 to July 12 to take the UEE, and from July 7 to July 28 – the UPEE.

After successfully passing the UEE (at least 150 points for each component) and the UPEE (at least 100 points), applications for postgraduate studies in 2025 will be submitted electronically, through personal electronic accounts on the website https://vstup.edbo.gov.ua/
or at the Admissions Committee of SI "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine".

The acceptance of applications and documents, entrance examinations, competitive selection, and enrollment for postgraduate studies at the State Institution "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" are carried out within the following terms:

To participate in the competitive selection for postgraduate studies at the State Institution "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine," the applicant, when submitting the application, presents the originals of:

-a document proving identity;
-a military registration document for those liable for military service (except in cases provided by law);
-a state-standard document on previously obtained educational degree (educational qualification level), on the basis of which admission is carried out, and its supplement;
-UEE certificates (2023, 2024, or 2025) and UPEE (2025).
The following must be attached to the application:

a copy of the document (one of the documents) proving identity, provided by the Law of Ukraine "On the Unified State Demographic Register and Documents Confirming the Citizenship of Ukraine, Identifying a Person or Their Special Status";

a copy of the military registration document (for those liable for military service – a military ID card or temporary certificate, and for conscripts – a certificate of registration at draft stations);

a copy of the state-standard document on previously obtained educational degree (educational qualification level), on the basis of which admission is carried out, and a copy of its supplement;

a certificate of the obtained educational qualification level of specialist in the relevant field after completing an internship;

copies of UEE certificates (2023, 2024, or 2025) and UPEE (2025);

four color photos sized 3 x 4 cm;

personal record sheet;

résumé (CV);

recommendation letter for admission to postgraduate studies from the potential scientific supervisor;

a list of published scientific works with active links to them and their printed copies, certified by the academic secretary;

research proposal – own scientific project;

medical certificate form No. 086/o;

Copies of documents without presenting the originals are not accepted.
