The reception department of the Institute is intended for the reception of patients who need qualified treatment and examination in a hospital.
The reception department is an independent structural unit of the Institute. The main goal of the department is to carry out hospitalization of all patients in a planned and emergency manner.
The department has the necessary equipment, medical tools, medicines and nursing items.
Main tasks of the reception department:
- Timely admission and registration of incoming patients;
- Examination and examination of patients admitted to the reception department;
- Medical care in the shortest possible time for hospitalized patients and patients who do not need hospital treatment;
- Medical examination and conducting the necessary diagnostic and instrumental studies for all patients, monitoring of patients in the receiving department;
- Sanitization of patients sent to the hospital;
- Distribution of patients by disease profile;
- Direct support and transportation of patients who are hospitalized in hospitals and transfer of patients under the supervision of the medical staff of the relevant departments;
- Registration and maintenance of established medical accounting documentation;
- Keeping records of hospitalized patients, as well as patients who received outpatient care in the reception department;
- Constantly maintain the readiness of the department to work in emergency situations and in case of detection of patients with particularly dangerous conditions.
Also in the department there is a separate receprion department concerning pediatric ophthalmology, in which a pediatrician of higher category admits young patients.
Readiness and coherence of work in the reception department is achieved by constant training, decision of introductory tasks and practical training conducted by the head of the reception department.
The reception department of the Institute provides a round-the-clock post.
