On April 4-5, 2025, the international conference "Glaucoma, Inflammatory Eye Disease, Refractive Errors of the Eye – 2025" was held in Chișinău, Moldova. The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Nicolae Testemițanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova.

The main focus of the conference was on the latest achievements and innovations in ophthalmology regarding issues such as glaucoma, inflammatory eye diseases, refractive errors of the eye, and other vision disorders.

Young researchers from the Department of Pediatric Ophthalmic Pathology of SI "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" also participated in the event. Under the leadership of the department head, DMedSc, professor N.F. Bobrova, they presented several important reports, including:

"Relapse of fully treated retinoblastoma after Covid-19" (authors: Tkachenko A., Bobrova N., Sorochynska T.), "COVID-19 associated optic neuritis as a predictor of nervous system demyelinating disorders. Case report" (authors: Dovhan O., Bobrova N., Dembovetska G.), "Phlegmon of the lacrimal sac in a newborn. How to treat?" (authors: Vdovichenko K., Bobrova N., Dembovetska G.).

The conference served as an excellent platform for exchanging experiences and new ideas in the field of ophthalmology.
