Glasses are the most common and simplest method of correcting presbyopia. There are several types of glasses that can help people with presbyopia:

Reading glasses: these are exclusively used for close-up work, such as reading books, working on a tablet, or performing other tasks that require a short distance (around 30-40 cm). Reading glasses are not suitable for computer use, driving, or other tasks that demand clear vision at intermediate or long distances.
Bifocal glasses: these glasses have two zones: the upper part is designed for distant vision, and the lower part is for near vision. You can see a visible line on the lens that separates these two zones.
Progressive glasses: these lenses provide a smooth transition from near to distant vision without visible lines on the lens. They look like regular glasses and offer more natural vision at different distances.
Office (computer) glasses: specifically designed for working at intermediate and close distances, making them ideal for office use or when working on a computer.
Each type of glasses has its advantages and disadvantages. The choice depends on your lifestyle and specific visual needs. It’s best to consult with an ophthalmologist who can determine the appropriate vision correction option for you.
