On June 27, 2025, the majestic cultural and spiritual charitable event “Under the Patronage of Saint Panteleimon” was held within the walls of Odesa City Hall. It was dedicated to honoring the finest medical professionals of Odesa and the Odesa region.

This occasion brought together representatives of various religious denominations, medical institutions, public organizations, and recipients of a prestigious award that symbolizes compassion, professionalism, and selfless service to humanity.

We are proud to announce that SI ''The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine'' earned the distinguished recognition in the category “Fortress of Health” among medical institutions. This high honor stands as a testament to years of tireless work, dedication, and daily commitment by the staff of the Filatov Institute in defending vision and improving the quality of life for thousands of patients.

Special tribute is extended to Mykola Mykolayovych Umanets, Head of the Department of Pathology of Retina and Vitreous Body, DMedSc and Professor, who was rightfully awarded the title “Innovator of the Year”. His professional brilliance, relentless pursuit of new solutions, and unwavering devotion to his field are a source of inspiration for the entire ophthalmological community of Ukraine.

The noble mission of serving humanity, fidelity to professional and spiritual values, and daily labor in the name of preserving health—these are the core virtues behind the awarding of the Order of Saint Panteleimon, one of the most esteemed honors in the field of healthcare.
