Training "Comprehensive hand hygiene systems for healthcare workers" was held in the small hall of the State Institution "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" on September 23, 2024. The event aimed to raise awareness and improve the skills of medical staff regarding proper hand hygiene.

Ludmila Volodymyrivna Zubchenko, a representative of the Association "Infection Control Services Organization" and Alla Leonidivna Moloda, head of the Department of Infection Control of the State Institution "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine," presented the following topics during the training:

1. Hand Hygiene Basics: Overview of key principles and techniques for effective hand hygiene.
2. Types of Hand Hygiene Products: Information on various types of antiseptics and detergents, their advantages and disadvantages.
3. Hand Washing Techniques: Demonstrative presentations of proper hand washing and disinfection techniques.
4. Hand Hygiene in Different Medical Situations: Consideration of specific hand hygiene requirements in various clinical situations.

This training is crucial for reducing the risk of infections and ensuring the safety of both patients and healthcare workers.
