The memorial lecture in honor of academician V. Filatov was on May 16, 2024, during the opening ceremony of the scientific-practical conference ‘Filatov Memorial Lectures 2024.’ This event was established to honor the memory of academician V. Filatov and recognize his contributions to the development of national and international ophthalmology. Professor Klaus Kursifen (Cologne, Germany) had a lecture on ‘New Developments in High-Risk Corneal Transplantation.’ During his presentation, he was awarded the V. Filatov Medal, which was established in 2019 by the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine and the State Institution ‘The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of NAMS of Ukraine.’
