The Filatov Institute Expresses Gratitude to Nova Ukraine for Supporting Ukrainian Healthcare and Developing International Partnership
The SI “The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the NAMS of Ukraine” expresses its sincere gratitude to the international charity organisation Nova Ukraine and its Chief Executive, Ambassador Erin McKee, for their consistent and significant support of Ukraine, the national healthcare system, and citizens affected by military actions.
During her visit to the Filatov Institute, Ms. Erin McKee familiarised with the work of the institution’s clinical departments, the latest diagnostic and treatment options for eye diseases, as well as the key areas of providing highly specialised ophthalmological care to military personnel and civilians affected by hostilities. Following the meeting, mutual interest in developing long-term partnership and expanding cooperation was confirmed.
Today, the activities of Nova Ukraine serve as an example of effective international humanitarian support for Ukraine. Since 2014, the organisation has implemented large-scale projects in the areas of healthcare, humanitarian assistance, restoration of medical infrastructure, and provision of necessary equipment and materials to Ukrainian healthcare facilities.
Support for medical facilities providing care to wounded military personnel, veterans, and civilian patients with severe consequences of war is becoming increasingly important. In this context, the development of partnership between the Filatov Institute and Nova Ukraine opens new opportunities for strengthening material and technical resources, implementing innovative technologies, and expanding access to highly specialised ophthalmological care.
For the Filatov Institute, cooperation with an organisation that shares a common vision—preserving health, restoring vision, and improving patients’ quality of life—is extremely valuable.
We are sincerely grateful to Ms. Erin McKee and the entire Nova Ukraine team for their commitment, trust, openness to cooperation, and significant contribution to supporting Ukrainian medical institutions and patients. We are confident that further partnership will help to the implementation of new humanitarian and medical initiatives, the development of advanced ophthalmology, and the strengthening of Ukraine’s healthcare system.
Together, we work toward the most important goal—preserving health, restoring vision, and supporting people whose lives have been changed by war.
