The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Odesa has been actively participating in communications with Odesa scientists for more than twenty years and is ready to facilitate the expansion of cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian ophthalmologists. The Director of the Filatov Institute, President of the Ukrainian Society of Ophthalmologists, Professor, Corresponding Member of NAMS of Ukraine Nataliya Pasyechnikova, and Professor Andriy Korol spoke about the glorious history of the world-renowned medical institution, many years of scientific achievements, inventions, and touched upon important international projects, annual conferences in which scientists from various cities of Poland also participate. Nataliya Pasyechnikova expressed her desire to deepen ties with Polish colleagues, while Andriy Korol suggested holding a joint symposium under the patronage of the Consulate General of Poland next year.

The negotiations continued with a small tour of the Institute, including a visit to the memorial office-museum of Academician Volodymyr Filatov.

Finally, the Polish diplomat thanked the administration of the Filatov Institute for their diligent work and presented commemorative gifts.
