Dear colleagues!

In accordance with Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 85 dated January 22, 2026, SI "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of NAMS of Ukraine" has been included in the State Register of Scientific Institutions that receive state support.

In accordance  with Article 12 of the Law of Ukraine “On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity ”, the State Register is established to provide state support to scientific institutions, regardless of ownership form, whose activities are of significant importance for the development of science, the economy, and society.

The State Register includes scientific institutions and higher education institutions that, based on the results of state evaluation of scientific activity, are classified into groups A, B, or C, indicating an appropriate level of research capacity and operational effectiveness.

In 2026, the formation of the State Register was compiled using an updated approach. Submission and processing of applications were submitted through the National Electronic Scientific Information System URIS, which significantly optimised and simplified the inclusion procedure. For the first time, inclusion in the Register was granted for the full five-year validity period of state evaluation certificates, until December 31,2030.

The inclusion of the Filatov Institute in the State Register is an important recognition of its scientific results and confirms its significant contribution to the development of national medicine and science in general.

This decision opens new opportunities for the implementation of large-scale scientific and applied research projects, participation in national and international programmes and grants to the further development of advanced technologies in ophthalmology and tissue therapy.

We congratulate  the staff of the Filatov Institute on this significant state recognition of its scientific potential and wish continued success in the development of science.
