The publication of these studies in the ‘Information Bulletin’ of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine is an important recognition of the scientific potential of the Filatov Institute and the practical focus of its research.

The results presented cover a broad spectrum  of a current ophthalmology — from the diagnosis and treatment of diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataract, uveitis, and herpetic keratitis to the treatment of intraocular tumors and retinal pathology.

The Institute’s research teams continue to develop and implement new methods for the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of diseases of the eye, strengthening the contribution of the Filatov School of Ophthalmology to the advancement of modern ophthalmology and practical medicine.
