The consultation clinic is a modern highly specialized department of the Filatov Institute, which provides consultative and diagnostic assistance to patients (adults and children) referred by medical and preventive institutions of Ukraine, residents of near and far abroad and all patients who applied without referral.
*Provision of consultative and medical assistance to patients from countries of near and far abroad is carried out on a commercial basis.
The consultation clinic consists of 28 offices, 10 of which are offices of profile departments of the Institute:
• glaucoma • corneal pathology • vascular tract diseases • vitreoretinal microsurgery • post-traumatic pathology of the organ of vision • post-burn pathology of the organ of vision • pediatric ophthalmology • ophthalmooncology • microsurgery of cataract • laser microsurgery office • office for the reception of patients with diabetes mellitus, where dispensary and scientific-clinical observations of patients with diabetic retinopathy are carried out.
Since 2005, the clinic has been operating a diagnostic center equipped with the most modern diagnostic equipment. This allows to conduct a comprehensive examination of the eyes to detect early stages of such serious diseases as glaucoma, cataract, retinal dystrophy and others. Along with a large volume of consultative assistance, treatment work is carried out in the office of treatment of strabismus and amblyopia, surgery and manipulation.
The clinic accepts premature babies. As a result of improving the quality of neonatal care and methods of intensive therapy (and, as a consequence, increasing the survival of deeply premature babies), the number of infants with retinopathy of prematurity, a severe disease that affects the immature vascular system of the retina in premature babies, has increased. In the clinic, dynamic observation of premature babies at risk of retinopathy is carried out and, if necessary, surgical treatment is performed using a laser.
Also, early diagnosis of children with retinoblastoma is carried out, which allows the child to undergo treatment with organ preservation.
Consultations of patients by heads of specialized departments are held daily.
