Odesa to Host an Information Event on NRFU Grant Opportunities and the EU Horizon Europe Programme
On 9–10 July 2026, a two-day information event, "Grant Opportunities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine and Support Instruments under the Horizon Europe Programme," will take place in Odesa. The event is organized by the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.
The event will be useful for researchers, academic staff, representatives of higher education institutions, research institutions, innovative enterprises, and everyone planning to participate in international research projects and grant competitions.
Special attention will be given to the opportunities for Ukrainian institutions to participate in the European Union's Horizon Europe Programme—the EU's largest research and innovation funding programme—as well as to the current calls of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.

9 July
Participants will learn about:
- the activities of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine;
- the structure and opportunities of the Horizon Europe Programme;
- support for Ukrainian applicants provided by the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine;
- NRFU calls and the specifics of preparing grant applications;
- working with the Funding & Tenders Portal;
- opportunities within the “Health” Cluster, the EU Mission on “Cancer”, the New European Bauhaus, and business support tools.
10 July
The second day will be devoted to the practical aspects of participation in grant programmes:
- legal issues related to the competitive selection process;
- financial planning of grant projects;
- budget preparation and cost estimation;
- legal aspects of participation in the Horizon Europe Programme;
- funding opportunities under the Digital, Industry and Space Cluster and the Climate, Energy and Mobility Cluster;
- EU Missions in the areas of climate, water, and smart cities.
During both days, participants will have the opportunity to attend question-and-answer sessions, discuss practical case studies, and take part in professional networking.
