With deep sorrow, we announce that after a prolonged illness, on June 2, 2024, Iryna Borysivna Linnyk-Chokova, a candidate of medical sciences and senior research associate, passed away.

Iryna Linnyk-Chokova was born on June 25, 1939. In 1966, she graduated from the Kyiv Medical University with a degree in medicine and was appointed as a medical intern at the SI "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of NAMS of Ukraine". In 1974, she successfully defended her scientific work and obtained the academic degree of a candidate of medical sciences. In 1984, she was senior research associate. For more than 50 years, Linnyk-Chokova I.B. worked at the Filatov Institute, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. She widely implemented modern global and her own scientific research into practice, generously sharing her experience with colleagues.

Eternal memory to Irina Borisivna! She will forever remain in our hearts.

The farewell to Iryna Linnyk-Chokova will take place on June 4, 2024, at 11:15 at the Tairov Cemetery in the temple “In the Name of All Saints,” located at Glushko Street, Odesa.
