Since June 18, 2026, Ukraine has launched a new module of the National Researcher System of Ukraine (NRSU). It allows researchers to submit verified data on their scientific achievements and academic activities.

The National Researcher System of Ukraine creates a unified platform for information about researchers, their publications, and research areas. The goal is to increase the visibility of Ukrainian science and strengthen international scientific cooperation. It also aims to improve the prestige of research careers.

A key feature of the system is researcher rankings based on verified scientific results. Two rankings will be formed: a general ranking of researchers and a separate ranking for early-career researchers.

According to Oksen Lisovyi, Ukraine’s Minister of Education and Science, the NRSU supports a more transparent model of science funding. It also ensures state support for researchers who contribute to Ukrainian and global science.

Researchers may submit verified information about:

Scientific publications and citations;

Grants and research projects;

Patents;

Training of young researchers;

International scientific cooperation;

Other scientific and scientific-technical achievements.

Only verified data will be included in the system. This improves transparency and reduces subjectivity in evaluation.

Participation in the National Researcher System of Ukraine is voluntary.

Researchers can submit data through personal accounts in the National Electronic Scientific Information System (URIS). The submission period runs from June 18 to July 20, 2026, until 1:00 PM.

Top-ranked researchers will be eligible for state scholarships.

The State Budget of Ukraine for 2026 allocates UAH 190 million for this initiative. The government plans to support 2,650 of the most productive researchers.

Each selected researcher will receive a monthly scholarship of UAH 10,000 for two years.

After the submission stage, data will be verified. Rankings will then be formed, and scholarships will be awarded.
