On July 27, 2025, a solemn ceremony took place in Kyiv to present the prestigious award for professionalism and compassion — the "Order of Saint Panteleimon," deservedly known as the "Medical Oscar of Ukraine."

This year’s laureates include the finest representatives of the medical community: doctors, nurses, military medics, volunteers, healthcare institutions, and international partners who demonstrated heroism, humanity, and professionalism during wartime.

✅ The "Health Fortress" award was presented to The State Institution "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" — a globally recognized ophthalmology center that combines cutting-edge scientific research, high-quality medical care, and professional training.

✅ In the category "Innovator of the Year," the winner was Doctor of Medical Sciences Mykola Mykolayovych Umanets, Head of the Department of Pathology of Retina and Vitreous Body, for implementing innovative treatment methods that enhanced the effectiveness of ophthalmological care.
