MEETING OF THE HEADS OF STATE INSTITUTIONS OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF MEDICAL SCIENCES OF UKRAINE: RESULTS AND STRATEGIC PRIORITIES
On March 25, 2026, a meeting was held involving the heads and medical directors of state institutions of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. The meeting took place in a hybrid format, with participation of representatives from scientific institutions across different regions of Ukraine.
The main agenda item was an assessment of the capacity of the institutions of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine to provide specialized medical care in the context of healthcare system transformation, taking into account contracting mechanisms within the Medical Guarantees Program.
During the meeting, reports were presented by institutional leaders and medical directors regarding current activities, financial support, and prospects for operation in 2026, particularly in the context of preserving human resources and material and technical capacity. The submitted proposals were subject to professional discussion.
Special attention was given to the importance of preserving and further developing national medical science as a strategic resource of the state.
Heads of institutions were instructed to submit consolidated written proposals by March 27, 2026.
