Burning sensation, itching.

White eel-like pustules.

Redness.

A rough feeling on skin, like sandpaper.

Scales are possibly eczema-like.

Skin irritability.

White shine on skin or eyelashes.

If the condition affects your eyes, you may feel:

Decreased vision.

Eye irritation and itching.

Eyelash loss.

Thickened or scaly eyelids.

How is demadicosis diagnosed?

If you suspect you are infected with DEMODEX! Do you have some of the symptoms above? Then you need to contact us, the Filatov Institute, for examination.

1. The method of biomicroscopy of the eye allows to assess the condition of eyelids, conjunctiva and cornea in order to diagnose secondary changes.

2. For laboratory verification of demodex blepharitis, ophthalmologists use microscopic examination. This is the only method to detect a tick in the thickness of the follicle. After placing the material (several eyelashes) on the slide, it is studied in detail using a microscope.
