On 27 July, on the occasion of Medical Workers’ Day, employees of the SI "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the NAMS of Ukraine" were honoured with high state and departmental awards for their many years of dedicated service, outstanding professionalism, significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian ophthalmology, and the provision of highly specialised medical care.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's "For Assistance to the Armed Forces" Award was conferred upon:

Halyna Ivanivna Drozhzhyna – Professor, Head of the Department of Corneal Pathology.

The Commander's "For Merit" Decoration of the Operational Command "South" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was awarded to:

Liudmyla Fedorivna Troychenko – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Microsurgical Treatment of Corneal Pathology;

Oleksandr Valeriiovych Ponomarchuk – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Ophthalmologist of the Department of Reconstructive Microsurgery for Post-Traumatic Eye Disorders.

Certificates of Honour of the Southern Scientific Centre of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine were awarded to:

Oleksandr Valentynovych Artiomov – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Head of the Pathology Group, Centre for Laboratory Research;

Nataliia Ivanivna Khramenko – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Functional Diagnostics and Ocular Imaging;

Zoia Anatoliivna Rozanova – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Research Fellow of the Department of Retinal and Vitreous Pathology;

Oleksandra Eduardivna Dorokhova – Candidate of Medical Sciences, Senior Research Fellow of the Department of Inflammatory and Post-Burn Eye Pathology.

A Certificate of Honour of the Odesa Regional State (Military) Administration was awarded to:

Nataliia Oleksandrivna Samoluk – Head of the Department of Medical Statistics.
