The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine hosted a formal ceremony in celebration of Science Day to honor its researchers. The award ceremony took place on May 19, 2026, during a meeting of the Institute’s Academic Council.

A welcoming address to the scientific community was presented by the Acting Director of the Institute, Nataliia V. Pasechnikova, MD, PhD, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, and by the Deputy Director for Research, O. S. Zadorozhnyi, MD, PhD.

They expressed their gratitude to the staff for their dedicated work, high level of professionalism, and significant contribution to the development of national medical science, and wished them further scientific achievements, new scientific advances and the implementation of promising research projects.

In recognition of their significant contribution to scientific advancement, many years of dedicated work, and a high level of professionalism, the Institute’s staff were honored.

The following were awarded Certificates of Honor of the Southern Scientific Center of the NAS of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine:

• Olha Volodumurivna Guzun, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Research Associate of the Department for the Study of Biological Effects and Application of Lasers in Ophthalmology;
• Olha Dmytrivna Dovhan, Junior Research Associate of the Department of Pediatric Ophthalmic Pathology;
• Hanna Volodymyrivna Ivanchukova, Research Associate of the Organizational and Methodological Department;
• Serhii Mykolaiovych Kisil, Junior Research Associate of the Laboratory of Pharmacology and Tissue Therapy;
• Valeriia Viktorivna Myrnenko, Research Associate, Head of the Organizational and Methodological Department;
• Nataliia Ivanivna Molchaniuk, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Senior Research Associate of the Laboratory of Pathological Anatomy and Electron Microscopy Studies.
