Cooperation with “Hub for blind”
The Filatov Institute, in collaboration with the staff of the information and consultation hub "Hub for blind," has agreed on organizational, methodological, and informational cooperation between our institution and the hub.
Whom "Hub for blind" helps:
-civilians affected by vision impairments;
-military personnel who have lost their sight or suffered significant eye injuries;
-partners and close family members of individuals caring for people with vision loss;
-specialists, volunteers, and others who interact with or assist people who are completely or partially blind.
How "Hub for blind" helps:
Through vision, a person receives 80% of information about the surrounding world. Sudden vision loss severely restricts physical mobility, daily activities, and worsens a person's psychological state.
Most people who have lost their sight are unaware that there are simple skills that can help them live more independently.
Someone might need simple advice, such as how to make a cup of tea or a hot meal, ensure personal hygiene, organize their household, navigate space, and much more. Whatever is needed, "Hub for blind" provides you and your family with the necessary support to return to a full life.
The person responsible for this work from the institution is the head of the scientific library of the Filatov Institute, Dmytro Gorshkov.
