The meeting of the Honorable Council of Awards for Professionalism and Compassion "The Order of Saint Panteleimon" took place on July 1, 2024. The council led by Professor Igor Shpak, the Head of the Regional Council - Professor Vasyl Knyazevych, Honorary Doctor of Ukraine. This event is truly significant, recognizing the contributions of many individuals to the development of medicine and support for society.

During the ceremony, doctors, scientists, military medics, public figures and philanthropists were honored for their dedicated service, high professionalism, and civic virtues, especially in the context of Ukraine’s war for independence.

The “Order of Saint Panteleimon” was conferred upon ophthalmologists from the State Institution “The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”: Dr. Nadia Ulyanova, Professor and Head of the Department of Post-Traumatic Eye Pathology; Dr. Yevhen Chebotaryov, Cand. of Med. Sc. and Head of the Division of Microsurgical Treatment of Ocular Tumors.
