Announcement of the Scientific Project Competition

Dear colleagues,

The National Research Foundation of Ukraine announces a competition for scientific project proposals titled “Applied Science for the Resilience and Recovery of Ukraine.”

The competition aims to support applied research and development projects that will result in science-intensive and competitive products with high added value and/or significant social impact, capable of practical implementation in industry, the social sector, and other fields.

🔬 Thematic areas of the competition:

• New technologies, materials, and engineering solutions for industrial recovery. The development of new economic sectors ;
• Information, digital, and mathematical methods for modeling and managing processes under risk conditions;
• Environmental safety and innovative technologies for the conservation and restoration of natural resources ;
• Biomedical technologies, medical engineering, and rehabilitation systems
• Socio-economic, managerial, and institutional solutions for national resilience and development ;
• Counteracting disinformation and strengthening information and cultural security.

📅 Key conditions:

• Project duration: up to 2 years
• Total funding: up to UAH 310.8 million
  (2027 — up to UAH 160.8 million; 2028 — up to UAH 150.0 million)
• Application start date: April 10, 2026
• Submission deadline: May 11, 2026
