From June 1st to June 4th, 2024, the 16th European Glaucoma Society (EGS) Congress took place in Dublin, Ireland. This EGS Congress was a significant event for glaucomatologists.

During this large-scale event, important aspects of glaucoma were discussed, ranging from epidemiology and fundamental science to diagnosis and medical and surgical treatment. Scientists from nearly all over the world participated in the congress. Ukraine was also well-represented by leading ophthalmology experts, including Z.F. Veselovska, G.O. Parkhomenk, V.I. Shevchyk., S.K. Dmytriev, head of the Department of Glaucoma and Lens Pathology of SI "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine".

As part of the event, the Ukrainian Glaucoma Society organized a symposium under the leadership of its chairperson, Z.F. Veselovska (Kyiv). Ukrainian ophthalmologists conducted a Surgical Practical Course during the 16th EGS Congress.
