The Internship Programme Covers Key and Practically Relevant Topics

• clinical epidemiology of ocular tumors and advanced approaches to their study and treatment;
• pathomorphology of tumors of the eye and its adnexa;
• eyelid skin tumors: diagnosis and treatment;
• pathology of the lacrimal drainage system;
• tumors of the conjunctiva of the eyelids and eye;
• orbital neoplasms: classification, clinical presentation, diagnosis and treatment;
• lacrimal gland tumors;
• clinical presentation, diagnosis and treatment of intraocular neoplasms;
• application of high-frequency electric welding of biological tissues in ophthalmology;
• reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, orbit and periorbital region following tumor removal and as a result of trauma;
• thyroid ophthalmopathy and chronic exudative inflammation of the orbital tissues;
• the role of adjuvant chemotherapy in the treatment of malignant orbital tumors;
• practical training sessions;
• patient examinations and clinical case discussions under the supervision of leading specialists of the Institute.

A key feature of the training programme is the combination of theoretical training with hands-on practical education. Participants will have the opportunity to visit the Institute’s clinical departments and laboratories, observe the work of specialists, take part in practical training sessions, and gain hands-on experience with current approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmic oncology conditions.

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of professional development in accordance with the requirements of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
