Today, Ukraine turns 35.

This is a special day when we want to speak not only about our country, but also about the people who shape its future every day — through their work, knowledge, expertise, care, and dedication to what they do.

For the Filatov Institute, this is especially close to heart. Every day, science, medicine, and human care come together here.

Researchers conduct studies, develop new methods, and pass their knowledge on to the next generations. Doctors help patients preserve and restore their vision. Nurses and other healthcare staff are there for patients every day — attentive, caring, and indispensable to this shared mission.

And behind every complex surgery, behind every sight restored, there are the knowledge, experience, and “golden hands” of the Filatov Institute’s surgeons, for whom their profession has become a lifelong calling.
