The SI "The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the NAMS of Ukraine", jointly with the Ukrainian Society of Ophthalmologists, invites ophthalmologists, ophthalmology residents, and all interested healthcare professionals to participate in the masterclass "Diagnosis, Treatment, and Surgical Management of Complex Glaucoma and Cataract Cases."

Today's ophthalmology  requires not only extensive theoretical knowledge but also the ability to make well-founded clinical decisions in challenging cases. This masterclass is dedicated to the practical aspects of glaucoma and cataract management. Leading specialists from the Filatov Institute will share their clinical experience, discuss current approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and cataract, and address the latest developments in ophthalmic surgery.

Participants will gain insight into the latest advances in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), contemporary anterior segment imaging techniques, postoperative management following glaucoma surgery, principles for selecting the optimal surgical strategy in complicated cataract cases, and the management of patients with combined glaucoma and cataract. Significant attention will be placed on the clinical analysis of complex cases, evidence-based decision-making algorithms, and practical recommendations for postoperative patient care.

Educational Objective

Improving professional competencies and develop practical skills in the modern diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of complex glaucoma and cataract cases.

Upon completion of the masterclass, participants will be able to:

  • apply contemporary approaches to the early diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma;
  • assess surgical risks and plan cataract surgery in complex clinical cases;
  • the use of modern diagnostic methods and instrumental techniques in glaucoma;
  • make evidence-based clinical decisions during the combined treatment of glaucoma and cataract;
  • implement current clinical recommendations and best practices in everyday ophthalmic care.

Registration

Participation in the masterclass is free of charge for members of the Ukrainian Society of Ophthalmologists. Advance registration is mandatory and must include membership payment receipt.

Participation in the Master Class Without UOS Membership

It is possible to attend the master class without obtaining membership in the Ukrainian Society of Ophthalmologists (UOS). The cost is UAH 750.

Payment must be made via the website of the Ukrainian Society of Ophthalmologists.
