Today, December 5, 2025, the V.P. Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the NAMS of Ukraine hosted a unique educational master class in the format of a clinical quest. The event was organized in cooperation with the NGO Ukrainian Ophthalmological Society, bringing together leading specialists and motivated participants from across the country.

During the intensive training, participants analyzed complex clinical cases that required deep analysis, a multidisciplinary approach, and confident use of current  diagnostic methods.

Participants improved their competence in the following areas:

• critical and clinical thinking;
• teamwork and clinical decision-making;
• evidence-based ophthalmology in practice;
• personalised diagnosis of vascular anomalies;
• interpretation of OCT, angiography OCT, and fluorescein angiography;
• management of complex keratitis and corneal infections;
• analysis of causes of sudden vision loss;
• diagnosis of ophthalmoplegic conditions and pulsating exophthalmos;
• management of episcleritis and atypical ocular neoplasms.

The master class became another important step for the Filatov Institute in strengthening current educational standards and developing the Ukrainian  ophthalmology school.
