At the Laboratory of Pathomorphological Research at the SI ‘V.P. Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy of the NAMS of Ukraine’, under the supervision of the laboratory’s head, Oleksandr Valentynovych Artyomov, Candidate of Medical Sciences, doctor -pathologist of the highest category, a comprehensive analysis of clinical and morphological observations for the period 2016–2025 was carried out.

The aim of the study is to investigate the phenomena of pathomorphosis in eye diseases, including changes in clinical presentation, morphological structure, and the incidence of specific nosological forms  under the influence of modern treatment methods, demographic shifts, and environmental and epidemiological factors.

Particular attention is paid to treatment-related pathomorphosis, especially in ocular oncological diseases. The introduction of modern therapeutic approaches has enabled the development of objective criteria for evaluating treatment effectiveness and has provided new data on morphological changes in pathological processes during therapy.

At the same time, disease pathomorphosis is influenced not only by treatment but also by long-term changes, in the external environment, characteristics of the population structure and the epidemiological studies.

Analysis of histomorphological study data  over the past ten years revealed significant changes in the course of several ocular diseases and enabled the identification of rare and unique cases of ocular pathology, which are of considerable scientific and practical importance for modern ophthalmology and pathological anatomy.

Further presentation of the study results will include an overview of the most representative clinical and morphological cases and their scientific interpretation.
